Skip to main contentWelcome to Nomad Pay! This chapter will guide you through account creation and basic setup to get you ready for receiving payments.
What is Nomad Pay?
Nomad Pay is a payment product that provides cryptocurrency payment solutions for global merchants. Our goal is to enable you to easily accept wallet payments (like USDT, USDC, etc.) from users, with funds settled to your own wallet near-instantly via our non-custodial system.
Our platform consists of two main parts:
- Merchant Dashboard (
merchant.nomadpay.io): The interface you are learning to use right now, used for creating payment links, managing your team, viewing transactions, and analyzing data.
- Payment API & Webhooks: For your technical team to integrate Nomad Pay into your own website or application to automate payments.
This guide will focus on the Merchant Dashboard.
Account Creation & Security
Security is our first priority. Please follow these steps to create your account.
1. How to create your merchant account
- Visit the Sign-up Page: On the registration page, enter your email address and click
Continue.
- Verify Your Email: We will send an email with a 6-digit verification code (valid for 10 minutes) to your inbox. Please enter this code on the verification page.
- Set Up Your Info: After successful verification, you will need to set your
Full Name and Company Name, and create a secure password (must include uppercase, lowercase letters, and a number).
2. How to set up and enable 2FA
We strongly recommend all users enable 2FA. This is the best way to protect your account and your funds.
- Navigate: After logging in, click
Settings in the left sidebar, then select Account Settings.
- Find the 2FA Module: Locate the
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) card on the page and click [Enable 2FA].
- Scan QR Code: Follow the wizard prompts. Use your authenticator app (like Google Authenticator) to scan the QR code on the screen.
- Verify Device: Enter the 6-digit code displayed in your authenticator app and your current password to complete the verification.
- Save Backup Codes:
- **CRITICAL: **The system will show you a set of single-use backup codes. You must copy these and store them in a completely safe place (like a password manager).
- Check the box
I have safely stored my backup codes and then click Done.
3. How to reset your password
- On the login page, click the
Forgot your password? link.
- Enter your registered email address. We will send you an email containing a password reset link.
- Click the link in the email (valid for 60 minutes) to set your new password.
Onboarding: 3 Steps to Start Receiving Payments
When you first log in, the system will prompt you to complete three key steps. You can also find them in the “Getting Started” module on your Overview page.
Step 1: Connect Your Payout Address
- What is this? This is your own crypto wallet address where Nomad Pay will send all settled funds.
- How to do it? Go to
Receiving Addresses and click + Add Address. Select the blockchain network and manually paste your wallet address. Our system will validate the format automatically.
- Key Settings: When adding, you will need to configure:
- Directly Received Tokens: A whitelist of tokens you wish to receive without conversion (e.g.,
USDC, USDT).
- Default Token for Conversions: The token that the platform will automatically convert payments to if the customer pays with a currency not in your “Directly Received” list (e.g.,
ETH).
Step 2: Create a Product
- What is this? A “Product” is a template for your payment links. It includes a name, description, and a price in a fiat currency (like USD or HKD).
- How to do it? Go to the
Products page, click + Add Product, and fill in the information.
Step 3: Create a Payment Link
- What is this? This is the core tool you use to collect payments—a shareable URL.
- How to do it? Go to the
Payment Links page and click + Create Link. You only need to select a “Product” from the dropdown menu, and the system will automatically generate a link for you.
- Done! You can now share this link with anyone to start collecting payments.
